Cheder Chabad of Monsey opened its doors in September 1999.

The Cheder has a current enrollment of over 200 children from nursery (age 3) and preschool, through 6th grade in the boys school, and through 7th grade in the girls school.  We will continue to expand until both the boys and girls schools have grades nursery through 8th.

The preschool and girls school campus, and our administrative offices, are located at 246 N. Main Street in Spring Valley.

Cheder Chabad of Monsey was established as an educational institution with the goal of nurturing its students to:

1) Develop into proud Torah Jews, acquiring a high level of knowledge in Limudei Kodesh subjects, and the skills needed for a lifetime of continued learning.

2) Develop fine Midos, social and life skills, so that the students will grow up to become proper, upright and contributing members of the Jewish community, and be able to forge links between their uncompromising Jewish values and the world around them.

The unique and special feature of the school is the warmth and flavor of Chabad Chassidus, with particular emphasis on Ahavas Yisroel and serving Hashem with Simcha.

In addition Cheder Chabad activities include:

• Visits to local nursing homes to bring cheer and lift spirits

• Shabbos afternoon youth groups

• Monthly programs for boys and girls

• Father/Son learning Motzoei Shabbos

• Bas Mitzvah club

• Adult Jewish study groups

• Private tutoring for adults in Jewish subjects
