Mesivta Lev Tmimim
Lubavitch, Monsey celebrated the Simcha of their new Sefer Torah Sunday.
The ceremony was the
culmination of the Avos Ubonim Shabbaton in which almost all fathers of the boys
- all of which are out of towners - came to spend 48 hours of learning,
Davening, Farbrenging, and inspiration.
On Sunday, the
fathers and Bochurim were joined by some of the mothers and siblings, as well
as Monsey Anash for the dedication of the Sefer Torah. The Sefer Torah was a
gift of the Buchman-Bullard family of Eretz Yisroel in memory of the patriarch
and matriarch of the family, Yitzchak and Soro Baila Buchman.
Shliach of the Rebbe
and father of one of the Talmidim, Rabbi Raphael Benchimol, Rov of Manhattan
Sephardi Congregation, opened the the ceremony with a talk about the connection
between this Torah and the Talmidei HaYeshiva who who will be benefiting from
it. He spoke at Congregation Tzemach Tzedek, where the procession began,
followed by the Tahalucha towards the Torah's new home at Mesivta Lev Tmimim
Lubavitch.
The Simcha was
multiplied by the joining of the Bochurim of Mesivta Lubavitch of Monsey, as
well as many local residents from other Monsey shuls.
