Lag B'Omer at Cheder Chabad Girls

Cheder Chabad of Monsey Preschool and Elementary Girls celebrated Lag B'Omer with a rally and a parade, followed by an afternoon of fun and activities.

Rabbi Yisroel Shusterman addressed the students, pesukim were recited with chayos in the zechus of specific individuals, followed by a short video of the Rebbe.

Macaroni the Clown entertained the crowd with his tricks, juggling and uni-cycling. Then began the Great Parade. The theme for our four floats, designed and built from scratch by the 5th to 8th graders, was the number seven, tying in with shnas hashmittah The Pre-K "floats" that followed, designed and built by Pre-K Morah Chaya Rochel Shkedi, and "driven" by the students, stole the show and the hearts of the parents who came to watch.

Following the floats the students marched class by class proudly holding their banners and flags.

After lunch, the Elementary School engaged in exciting competitive team sports, and the entire school enjoyed taking turns on the moon bounce and slide and being treated to yummy cotton candy and popcorn.

A special thank you to our corporate sponsors, Monsey Shoes, Farkash Financial and the Sofer Center.
