Celebrating the 200th Yahrzeit by Learning the Alter Rebbe's Shulchan Aruch

This Sunday, 24 Teves (January 6), marks the 200th yahrzeit of the Alter Rebbe who passed away on Motzai Shabbos Chof Daled Teves 5573 (like this year).

Fifty years ago, in honor of  the 150th yahrzeit, the Rebbe strongly urged Chassidim to mark this auspicious year by increasing their study of the Alter Rebbe's holy teachings (see Chof Daled Teves Sicha in Toras Menachem 5723).

Rabbi Markowitz is offering a program of learning the Alter Rebbe's Shulchan Aruch, including a study guide and self tests, for those who may be interested.

Participants will be provided with the material and at the conclusion of each segment there will be a multiple choice test that they can take to be sure that they have learned the segment thoroughly.

Those participating in this program can learn at home, in shul or while traveling, with a chavruash or by themselves, for the first time or as chazarah.

This program of learning is a unique way of celebrating this auspicious year as those who participate will have a chance to master a substantial part of the Alter Rebbe's Shulchan Aruch.

To participate in this program and/or if you would like to be partnered with a chavrusah, please contact Rabbi Markowitz at rabbimarkowitz@monseychabad.com.
