Chanukah at Chabad of Suffern

What a wonderful week of Chanukah celebrations at Chabad of Suffern!

We started off with Chanukah gift wrapping with over 200 gifts that brought smiles to children in the hospitals.

Youth zone entertained the elderly with a beautiful choir, followed by the children serving the elderly Chanukah treats.

The Friendship Circle joined together and made their very own menorahs. In addition, each Friendship Circle special friend received 3 Chanukah crafts in the mail to be done with their volunteers at home. Each volunteer and friend also received a little gift delivered to their doors in honor of Chanukah.

The Hebrew School had lots of Chanukah fun with Chanukah karaoke, Chanukah baking, games and crafts, they also had a creative menorah contest and made us proud singing at the community Thanks and Giving Menorah program.

Our teens joined over 2,000 other Jewish Teens from the Tri-State area for some Chanukah Spirit at the Nets Game!

To top it all off, Monday night over 400 community members came out to join us in the lighting of the 11 foot Thanks and Giving menorah followed by a fun Chanuakah fair, complete with Bobby and the Israelites live, rock climbing, mechanical bull, video game truck, donut making, candle making, face painting, balloon artistry, and more.
