Children's Purim Program at Tzemach Tzedek

Avos U’Bonim Wraps Up for the Year

Over 60 fathers and their sons came together this past Motzai Shabbos, Parshas T'zaveh, at the Tzemach Tzedek for the final Avos U’Bonim program of this year.

It was a beautiful sight to behold, as the Kol Torah in the room buzzed. Children from Pre1A thru 8th grade spent an hour together with their fathers learning or reviewing anything from Aleph -Bais to Gemorah, Chumash or Mishnayos. Some fathers were seen learning a Sicha with their sons.

After the learning, the program finished with saying some of the 12 psukim, a raffle for a pocket set of either Chumoshim or Mishnayos, which was won by Yisroel Cohen (who opted for the Mishnayos), and then a Chassidishe story told by Rabbi  Shusterman. The evening ended with pizza for everyone.

We want to thank all the sponsors of the weekly programs which helped provide the raffle prizes and refreshments for each week’s program.

It is our hope that the wonderful inspiration and atmosphere of learning which was generated in the Shul throughput all these winter weeks of the Avos Bonim program will continue on in the homes and in the Shul during the spring and summer months as well as fathers keep up the learning with their sons!
