Cheder Chabad Launches "Light to Light" Campaign

Cheder Chabad of Monsey has launched “Light to Light” - a fundraising campaign which spans the light of Yud Tes Kislev through the lights of Chanukah.

In participating in the "Light to Light" campaign you have an opportunity to really make your donation count -  twice!

Avraham and Devorah Hayman have kindly agreed to match all donations up to $1,000 per family pledged to the Cheder by the end of Chanukah and paid by January 1, 2013.

All donations are tax deductible, so not only can you get in your year-end donations before the end of the tax year, but you can help the Cheder by also satisfying the custom of giving Chanukah gelt.

You can contribute to the "Light to Light" campaign by mailing the Cheder a check, donating online at chedermonsey.org, or calling the Cheder with your credit card information at 845-356-1213 ext. 204.

Please indicate your participation in the “Light to Light" matching campaign.

Please note that the Cheder is striving to expand programs and provide the best teachers, but the costs to provide a better education continue to rise despite being as cost conscious as possible.

The Cheder has committed to nearly $900,000 in scholarships for the current school year to families that are financially unable to pay full tuition. Full tuition is the actual cost to educate each child and the Cheder does not ask other parents to pay more tuition to cover the scholarships given to other families, but, instead, looks to government funding, grants and donations from within and outside the Monsey community to cover this shortfall.

Your support is badly needed and greatly appreciated!

Thank you and best wishes for a very frielichin' Chanukah!
