Doula Certification Course

A three day intensive Douala certification course taught by a world renowned Douala Debra Pascali-Bonaro, LCCE CD (DONA) will take place from Tuesday, January 17, 2012 until Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at 4 Fawn Lane in Suffern.

Doulas are a return to an age-old tradition of women-to-women support during pregnancy, labor, birth and the first weeks with a newborn. Doulas provide non-medical care and offer women, their partners and family members emotional support, alternative comfort techniques and help facilitate positive communication and informed consent between the women and her medical providers. Doulas complement the care the women are already receiving and add a continuous, caring, nurturing presence to all.

No prerequisites required.

For more information and to register, please contact Rashi Kaplan at 845-664-0830.
