Evening of Learning Shiurim

All men and women are encouraged to participate in an evening of learning this Tuesday night, September 20,  at 8:15 PM at Tzemach Tzedek as a zechus for a young husband and father who is struggling with a very difficult and painful illness and is in need of a Refuah Shlaima.

All those attending have the option of learning with a chavrusah or listening to one of  the following Shiurim:

• For Men - Jewish Medical Ethics by Rabbi Dr. Chaim Dovid Kagan 
• For Men - Chassidic Insights into the Yomim Tovim by Rabbi Boruch D. Lesches
•  For Men - Mikva Matters - Analysis of the differing laws and opinions regarding building a Mikva by Rabbi Aron Dovid Gancz
• For Men - Disentangling Torah - Torah in the light of science by Dr. Alex Poltorak
• For Women - Above the Stars - A Torah View on Astrology and the Zodiac by Mrs. Bracha Meshchaninov 
• For Women -  The Power of Prayer - An in-depth look at Tefilla as we prepare for Rosh Hoshana and Yom Kippur by Rabbi Zalmen Leib Markowitz 

The evening will conclude with Tehillim and a message from Rabbi Lesches. Light refreshments will be served.

Rabbi Shea Hecht to Address Cheder Dinner

MonseyChabad.com has learned that Rabbi Shea Hecht will be a guest speaker at the Cheder Chabad of Monsey dinner this Sunday night.

Rabbi Shea Hecht, son of Rabbi Jacob J. Hecht, is the chairman of the National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education, dean of Hadar HaTorah Yeshiva and a prominent askan.

Rabbi Hecht has been involved in many activities to benefit the Jewish community including rescuing people from cults, working across racial barriers in the pursuit of a peaceful coexistence between the Chasidic and African-American communities in Crown Heights and as Commissioner of Human Rights for the City of New York.

As a project of N'shei Chabad of Rockland and Tzemach Tzedek, Rabbi Kuperman will continue to check mezuzos and tefillin at Tzemach Tzedek throughout the day today, Thursday.

If there is a need for him to return next week, he will begin again on Sunday, September 18. Please call him today, Thursday, at 917-873-2360 if you would like to bring in your mezuzos and tefillin on Sunday.
