Elul Learning Initiative

Erev Rosh Chodesh Elul 5771
Dear Anash,

In recent weeks there has been discussion among many of our Anash families about how to strengthen ourselves, as a community, in Torah and Yiddishkeit.

In meetings that included the Melamdim of the Cheder, Staff of the Mesivta, the Rabbonim of our community and some of the senior members of Anash, a suggestion was proposed that in honor of the month of Elul, we should make an effort to gather together for learning every evening during the month of Elul, whether learning on one’s own, with chavrusa or by attending a shiur.

My dear friends, by taking part in this effort, each one of us will make a tremendous impact on ourselves, on each other and on the community as a whole.

Please make this your first priority by joining this initiative, beginning tonight, Monday, evening, Rosh Chodesh Elul, at 8:30 PM at Tzemach Tzedek, 2 Langeries Drive, Monsey, followed by Maariv at 9:30 PM.

In the zchus of our efforts to increase in Torah learning, may we be blessed with a k’siva v’chasimah tovah and a shanah tovah u’mesuka.
