Kiddush This Shabbos at Tzemach Tzedek

R’ Naftali Marrus and R’ Hershel Rosenbluh and families cordially invite you to a Kiddush-Farbrengen in honor of the recent birth of their daughters this Shabbos, Parshas Re’eh, following davening at Tzemach Tzedek.

Tehillim begins at 8:30 AM followed by Shacharis at 10:00 AM.

Levaya:
The levaya is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Friday, at 1:00 PM at Baron Hirsch Cemetery, 1126 Richmond Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10314.

Shiva:
Yaakov will be sitting Shiva beginning Friday afternoon at his home, 660 Union Road. The davening times are as follows:

Sunday:
Shacharis – 9:00 AM
Mincha – 7:15 PM
Maariv – 8:15 PM

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday:

Cheder Hires Secular Studies Principals

Cheder Chabad of Monsey is pleased to announce that among the many changes and improvements being made for the coming school year, are the hiring of Mr. David Kandel, MS, as Associate Principal for General Studies in the boy’s school and Mrs. Hannah Phillip as Associate Principal for General Studies in the girl’s school.

Mr. Kandel earned a Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision from the City College of NY and a Masters in Special Education from the Ferkauf Graduate Center of Yeshiva University. He has almost 40 years of education experience in the New York City public school system and the Yeshiva system.

Mrs. Phillip earned a Masters of Education and a Professional Diploma in School Psychology from Touro College in NY. Mrs. Phillip has extensive teaching experience, has served as guidance counselor in the Yeshiva system and is also a practicing therapist at CAPS-Bikur Cholim in Monsey.

Both Associate Principals bring with them wide-ranging experience in education and contacts within a far-reaching network of professionals to aid them in their endeavors. They will bring new energy and a new vision to the secular studies program at the Cheder by updating our current curriculum and putting a strong emphasis on teacher support and advances in student learning.
