Free Document Shredding Day

The Town of Ramapo will be sponsoring a Free Document Shredding Day for Town residents on Sunday, August 21st in the Ramapo Town Hall parking lot, 237 Route 59 in Suffern, from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 P.M., or until the on-site truck is full.

Shredding Day is being held once again to give Town residents the opportunity to dispose of their unwanted personal/financial documents at no charge. More than 8.1 million people became victims of identity theft this past year making it the fastest growing crime in the U.S. according to the Better Business Bureau. Shredding Day is an opportunity for Ramapo residents to gather their unused documents/records and have them securely disposed of.

The shredder truck will be provided by HB Data Security. Metal, plastic items, three ring binders and hardcover books are not acceptable for shredding. The "Ramapo Shredding Day" limits each person to three boxes (Height 9" and Width 11" X 17") of paper documents.
