Reserve Your Seats for THE GREAT PARADE Today!

The Great Parade:
As always, when Lag B’omer falls out on a Sunday, there is a grand parade in Crown Heights which the Rebbe always encouraged everyone to participate in. This year there will be a parade, concert, clown show and fair on Lag B’Omer, Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 10:00 AM in front of 770 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights.

Once again, Cheder Chabad of Monsey together with the Monsey Anash community has reserved seating so that our community can sit and march together. Last year more than 500 people from our community participated!

Parade Registration:
The cost to register is $5 per person which includes a parade t-shirt (long-sleeved for girls).

Click here to register your family members ASAP.

Under “Join A Group” choose “Cheder Chabad of Monsey - Boys” for all boys and fathers and “Cheder Chabad of Monsey - Girls” for all girls and mothers from the dropdown menu.

Boys under the age of 6 who would like to sit with their mothers should register on the “Cheder Chabad of Monsey – Girls” group and girls under the age of 6 sitting with their father should register on the “Cheder Chabad of Monsey – Boys” group.

Again, this section is for BOTH Cheder families and the Monsey community at large.

All registration must take place online. The Cheder office will not be accepting any registrations.

All registrations must be submitted by this Sunday, ד' אייר, May 8. Families that do not register by this deadline will not receive wristbands and t-shirts in advance of the parade and may not be able to sit in the Monsey section.

Wristbands & T-Shirts:
Tzivos Hashem will send all wristbands and t-shirts, for both Cheder and community participants, to the Cheder office. Cheder students will bring theirs home. Everyone else will be notified so that they can come to the Cheder Boys office to pick them up during the designated times.

Early Shacharis Minyanim:
Tzemach Tzedek will be having Shacharis minyanim at 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM & 8:00 AM on Lag B’Omer morning to enable people to get to the parade on time.

As of now there will be no organized transportation from Monsey to Crown Heights. Everyone will meet in Crown Heights at the designated Monsey section (the location of which will be sent out closer to the parade). Seating for the parade will open at 9:45 AM and the parade will start promptly at 10:00 AM. Please leave sufficient time to find parking and walk to the parade.

The Cheder is exploring the option of organizing a bus that will leave Monsey at 8:00 AM and return at the conclusion of the fair. If you are interested in this option, please email and indicate the amount of passengers and if you would prefer a school bus or coach bus (more expensive).

All Cheder students who are in Nursery and UPK must be accompanied by an adult throughout the entire program. The rest of the Cheder will be supervised by their Rebbis and Morahs. We will march down the service lane of Eastern Parkway (from Brooklyn Avenue to Kingston Avenue) and then down Kingston Avenue. We will end our march at the corner of Kingston Avenue and Carroll Street. Please pick up your children at this corner right after we march.

Special thanks to Rabbi Wolowick and Mrs. Rosenbluh for organizing this for the community!
