The Journal News features Chabad Chanukah events:Celebrations will mark Hanukkah
ROCKLAND: Hanukkah begins at sundown this evening and will be marked with a variety of celebrations, including menorah lightings around Rockland County. On Thursday, the Menorah-mobiles Parade will start at 6:30 p.m. from Congregation Tzemach Tzedek in Monsey and go to the Spring Valley Marketplace, arriving there at about 7:25 p.m. for celebrations. More than 70 menorah-mobiles — cars with menorahs mounted on top — will parade throughout Rockland County. At the Spring Valley Marketplace there will be a menorah lighting, music, dancing, Hanukkah foods and prizes for children.
Three menorah-lighting ceremonies are planned by Chabad Jewish Enrichment Center in Chestnut Ridge. They are Thursday at 7 p.m. at Piermont Village Hall; Saturday at 7 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in Nyack and Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Braunsdorf Park in Pearl River.
