Dust off your sneakers and get ready to become cardio-fit! A fundraising committee for Cheder Chabad of Monsey is gearing up to offer Zumba classes in the Cheder Girl's school gym.

The classes will be taught by a certified Zumba instructor and are scheduled to begin the week of December 13th, immediately after Chanukah, and will take place from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The fee per class is $10. All proceeds go to Cheder Chabad of Monsey.

If you would like to join this fundraising committee, which is ably headed by Zeesy Grossbaum, please contact Rivkah Schulman at rrothsch@yahoo.com. E-credit is available for those parents who work for this committee.

Monsey Yungeleit Shabbos at the Ohel

There is a group of Yungeleit who are exploring the idea of spending Shabbos, Parshas Veyeishev, Chof Kislev (Thanksgiving weekend), at the Ohel.

The aim is to create a ruchniyusdiker Shabbos for men and boys that would include a guest Mashpia who would farbreng and a special program for the boys.

There would be no charge for Yungeleit (although the management at the Ohel would certainly appreciate donations) but there will be a minimal charge for the children’s program.

If you have any questions or are interested in participating please email zvigershonf@yahoo.com and include the number of children you would be bringing and their ages.

Cheder Boys Build Menorahs

This past Sunday the PTA of the Cheder boys school coordinated the first of what will hopefully be a monthly special program connected to the upcoming month.

The programs will run on or close to Rosh Chodesh.

As you can see from the pictures all the boys and their Rebbes were happily engaged in a variety of fun actions connected to putting this wonderful and usable Menorah together.

Thanks to Rabbi Rafoel Leitner and family for sponsoring the night's program, l'ieiluy Nishmas Mrs. Leitner's late father OBM, whose shloshim finishes this week.
