Following up on Rabbi Markowitz's letters from before Yom Tov, the following is an update on the new shiurim that are starting next week, including some new shiurim for women.
Please mark your calendar and make a strong effort to attend some or all of the shiurim. Let us together, b'achdus, create a spirit of Torah learning in our community!
In order to ensure the success of each shiur please register for the shiurim that you would like to attend.
Daily - Tanya Shiur: (For Men) - This 25-minute shiur on the Tanya portion of the daily Chitas by Rabbi Lesches will begin this Sunday, October 17, at 7:30 AM prior to the first Shacharis minyan at Tzemach Tzedek. On Sundays it will be from 7:30 AM to 7:55 AM and on Mondays through Fridays from 6:30 Am to 6:55 AM.
Monday - Monthly HaBayis HaYehudi Shiur: (For Men) - The first HaBayis Hayehudi monthly shiur by Rabbi Aaron D. Gancz will take place this Monday night, October 18, at 8:45 PM. The location will be announced to those who register for this shiur. Please register ASAP to Yossel Sirota at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tuesdays - Weekly Evening of Learning: (For Men) - The first evening of learning will take place this Tuesday night, October 19, at 8:30 PM at Tzemach Tzedek. Please make every effort to participate - be it learning with a chavrusa, attending a shiur or studying alone. The evening of learning will take place every Tuesday evening at the same time and location. Wednesday - Class for Women in Honor of Rochel Imeinu's Yarzeit: (For Women) - In honor of the Yarzeit of Rochel Emeinu on 11 Cheshvon, Rabbi Zalmen L. Markowitz will be giving a shiur for women on "The Role of a Mother as Akeres HaBayis". Following the shiur there will be time allotted for questions and answers relating to Chinuch. The class will take place this Wednesday evening, October 20, at 8:30 PM at the home of Devorah Goldstein, 6 Tokay Lane. Please note that this one-time shiur will replace the weekly Halacha class by Rabbi Lesches.
Thursdays - Weekly Tanya Shiur for Women: (For Women) - In conjunction with Machon Chaya a new weekly Tanya shiur by Rabbi Zalmen L. Markowitz will start this Thursday, October 21, at 10:00 AM at the home of Yehudis Abaramowitz, 6 Zabriskie Terrace. The class will take place every Thursday morning at the same time and location.
Next Motzai Shabbos - Monthly Melava Malka: (For Men) - The first monthly Melava Malka / Farbrengen for Yungeleit will take place next Motzai Shabbos, Parshas Vayeira, October 23. Please RSVP that you will be coming to Eli Cohen at firstname.lastname@example.org who will then send you the time and location.
Daily - Gemara Shiur: (For Men) - Please email news at monseychabad.com if you would attend a nightly goal-oriented Gemara shiur. Please also include which time in the evening works best for you (7:45, 8:45 or 9:45).
