This Shabbos is Chai Elul

There will be a farbrengen at Tzemach Tzedek this Shabbos in honor of Chai Elul.

Chai Elul is a significant day in the Chassidic calendar as it is the day on which the Baal Shem Tov was born in 1698, the day on which the Besht began teaching Chassidus at the age of 36 in 1734, and the day that the Alter Rebbe was born in 1745.

It is also the Yarzeit of the Maharal in 1609.
