Rashi's Kindercamp Survey

Dear Camp Parents,

Over the past few years we have enjoyed spending our summers organizing and running our amazing community camp - Rashi's Kindercamp. But it is not without the help and support of every single one of you that it's been so successful. Thank you!

As this summer approaches we'd like nothing more than to see the camp continue to grow and succeed. To accomplish this, and to accommodate the growing needs of our community, we need to move the camp from a backyard to proper camp grounds. But, taking this on involves more financial responsibility than we can afford to take alone. We need your help.

Before we commit our summers, we ask for a moment of honest thought... a survey. Simply to understand the community’s needs this summer.

Do you plan on sending your children to the camp this summer, or not? If yes, how many?

We are not asking for money or a commitment, and it's fine if your answer is yes, no or maybe. We are simply trying to gauge the needs in order to make the best decisions.

Please respond to or call us to say hi.

We truly hope you understand, and wish you the very best (whatever your answer might be)

Lots of love,
Rashi and Naomi

P.S. For the benefit of others, please respond as soon as possible, as there are only a limited amount of camp grounds to choose from.

Letter from Rabbi Yisroel Shusterman

Dear Monsey Anash Community:

Today, Yud Shvat, the Yahrzeit of the Freirdiker Rebbe and beginning of the Leadership of our Rebbe – indeed a very auspicious time.

In the letter sent by the Rebbe in 5751 (1951), for the first Yahrzeit of the Freirdiker Rebbe, the Rebbe lists out what the various Minhagin and customs for the day are. Among them is the minhag to give Tzedakah on this day to a “Moisad” or institution which is related to the work of and continues the legacy of the Rebbe.

Text follows:

“…10. In the morning, before prayer, charity should be given to those institutions that are related to our Nasi, my revered father-in-law, of sainted memory. Donations should be made on behalf of oneself and on behalf of each member of one's family. The same should be done after Minchah….”

As our Cheder is a “Moisad” and institution which is totally dedicated to the teachings, work and goals of the Rebbe, all the kinderlach of the Cheder ask that on this day of Yud Shvat - as one strives to fulfill the “minhagim” and requests of the Rebbe – please remember the Cheder for whatever amount of Tzedakah you might want to give, be it large or small.

In the merit of this, may we all merit Hashem’s infinite blessings – to the ultimate blessing, to see the Rebbe again – as he leads all of Klal Yisroel out of Golus – with the coming of Moshiach Tzidkeinu -NOW!!

PS - The Rebbe has always said that those who didn’t have the opportunity to fulfill all the Minhagim on the day of Yud Shvat can still “make it up “ till the 15th of the month (Tu BiShvat) . The opportunity is still available for all to fulfill. May Hashem grant all to see Chassidishe Nachas for the children amidst good health and abundant prosperity materially and spiritually.

Reb Yoel Kahn at Heichal Menachem

Please say Tehillim for Rabbi Noson Gurary, Noson ben Chava, who was in a car accident yesterday in Monsey.
