Hillel at RCC Hosts Beautiful Sukka Event

The Center for Jewish Life - Hillel at SUNY Rockland hosted Sushi in the Sukkah with Moshe on Chol HaMoed.

On a warm day under clear blue skies more than 100 students and staff came to the party in the Sukkah. Approximately 70 people shook Lulav and Esrog, many for the first time in their lives. There was a great spread including sushi and pizza which were all eagerly eaten while the crowd learned about the meaning and practices of Sukkos from Hillel director, Rabbi Dov Oliver.

This was followed by an inspiring performance from Jewish indie-rock singer, Moshe Hecht, whose humorous raps, storytelling and soulful lyrics impressed and moved the crowd until they were demanding more and placing orders for his upcoming debut CD!
