RCC Group was Largest at Chabad on Campus Shabbaton

This past weekend The Center for Jewish Life/Hillel based at RCC took a record 34 students to the Chabad on Campus International Collegiate Shabbaton in Crown Heights. It was the largest group from any one college that made up the approximately 800 participants. The Rockland students were kindly hosted by members of the Crown Heights community. On Friday night they Davened in 770, had a lively and inspiring group meal at the home of the Muchniks and then headed to the program's main location, Ohelei Torah for a long night of meaningful Farbrengening. On Shabbos the students enjoyed lunch together with their peers from all over the USA and Canada before attending a series of lectures and discussion groups from a group of outstanding presenters. This was followed by a musical Havdalla and then a Melava Malka with the very popular Yood band.

Some of the students stayed on for Sunday's activities which included a tour of Crown Heights and the Jewish Childeren's Museum and a visit to the Ohel.
