Good Sam Seeks to Ease ER Waiting Time

SUFFERN -Good Samaritan Hospital is asking the state Department of Health for permission to build a new $2.8 million rapid admissions unit that it hopes will ease wait times in the emergency room. The hospital hopes to build a 10-bed ward where emergency-room patients who need to be admitted to the hospital will be treated until a bed becomes available in other parts of the facility.
