Exchanged Tallis at Tzemach Tzedek

Following davening on shabbos parshas Bechukosai, Moshe Reitman placed his tallis on the top left hat shelf in the men’s coat area. On Sunday morning he found a smaller, but similar tallis in its place. If there is a shul member or guest who thinks he shrank, or his tallis grew, please call Moshe Reitman at 917-301-5537.

Bear in Monsey Yesterday

By Ben Rubin, The Journal News, June 2, 2008

Hundreds of people - mostly local kids - jammed Remsen Avenue yesterday, clamoring to get a glimpse of a small black bear stuck up a tree. The crowd kept growing as emergency workers waited for the state Department of Environmental Conservation to show up, tranquilize the bear and take it away.

There were emergency workers from the county Sheriff's Department, state police, Ramapo Police Department officers and Chaverim of Rockland, a local assistance service, all trying to quell a swelling crowd looking on in amazement.
